Elpro GmbH has been awarded a new load management project through a public tender: Kommunalservice Jena has commissioned the company to install and commission an EOS system for energy and process optimization at its operations site. The project volume amounts to approximately €110,000.
Kommunalservice Jena – a municipal enterprise of the city employing around 400 staff members – is responsible for key services such as waste management, road maintenance, and winter services. On its four-hectare site, the organization already operates a new transformer station, DC charging stations, a 2 MW photovoltaic system, and a battery storage unit. These investments reflect the city’s clear strategy of decarbonization and the use of renewable energy sources.
ELPRO will install the measurement technology required for load management and configure EOS to enable real-time data acquisition, visualization, and analysis of energy flows. By evaluating large data sets and applying artificial intelligence, load peaks can be predicted, storage systems can be optimized, and energy costs reduced.
With this project, EOS once again demonstrates its versatile range of applications—this time in a municipal setting—and contributes to the development of an intelligent and sustainable energy infrastructure.
