The German Whistleblower Protection Act (*Hinweisgeberschutzgesetz*) has been in effect since July 2, 2023. It regulates the protection of individuals who report misconduct or legal violations within companies or organizations. These individuals are referred to as “whistleblowers.” The aim of the Act is to provide whistleblowers with a legal framework in which they can report breaches of laws or regulations without fear of retaliation or legal consequences from their employer.
Elpro fulfills its obligations under the Whistleblower Protection Act. For this purpose, the digital ombuds platform **hintcatcher** has been established.
